The young and hip in the country’s media industry came together at Cresta President Hotel last Friday for the launch of Yarona FMs new line up.The line-up, it was announced, is part of the station’s new strategy to realise the great potential in their pool of young talent.Bonni Dintwa, Head of Programming at the station said as an urban radio station that targets the youth, they are on a mission to stay relevant to their listeners.
“We know that to keep our core listeners tuned in and looking forward to the daily content, we have to revamp and keep fresh to create a pulling energy that the youth can connect with. We have a remarkable and amazing team of presenters, DJ’s and programme producers that have over the years pushed to create exceptional content, and we continue to do that,” said. He added: “Yarona FM has embraced growth and local talent. The new line-up that also brings new voices to radio is a measure towards giving both the listeners and the presenters an opportunity to experience creativity through new features and new content.”
